Little amigurumi Whale free crochet pattern

I’m really happy to introduce you a Little Whale pattern. Hope you’ll enjoy it.

Supplies:
– DK weight yarn
– 3mm crochet hook
– 6mm safety eyes
– scissors
– yarn needle
– stuffing

Abbreviations:
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
mc – magic circle/ring
inc – increase (single crochet increase = two stitches in one stitch)
dec – invisible decrease (single crochet decrease = two stitches together)
st(s) – stitch(es)

Body:
R1: sc x 6 in mc, sl st (6)
R2: ch 1, inc x 6, sl st (12)
R3: ch 1, [sc, inc] x 6, sl st (18)
R4: ch 1, [sc, inc, sc] x 6, sl st (24)
R5: ch 1, [sc x 3, inc] x 6, sl st (30)
R6: ch 1, [sc x 2, inc, sc x 2] x 6, sl st (36)
R7-15: ch 1, sc x 36, sl st (36)
fasten off

Bottom:
R1: sc x 6 in mc, sl st (6)
R2: ch 1, inc x 6, sl st (12)
R3: ch 1, [sc, inc] x 6, sl st (18)
R4: ch 1, [sc, inc, sc] x 6, sl st (24)
R5: ch 1, [sc x 3, inc] x 6, sl st (30)
R6: ch 1, [sc x 2, inc, sc x 2] x 6, sl st (36)
fasten off, leave long end for sewing

Fins:
R1: sc x 6 in mc, sl st (6)
R2: ch 1, inc x 6, sl st (12)
fasten off, fold in half, sew both sides together

Tail:
make two fins
R1: sc x 6 in mc, sl st (6)
R2: ch 1, inc x 6, sl st (12)
R3: ch 1, [sc, inc] x 6, sl st (18)
fasten off, fold in half and sew both sides together, then sew both fins together

 

Assembly:
1. Attach eyes between rows 12 and 13. Place first eye on 10th st from beginning of a row. Make 11 sts space between both eyes.
2. Sew bottom and body together – stuff firmly as you go.
3. Sew on tail.
4. Sew on fins.
