Christmas Teddy amigurumi pattern

I know that Christmas’ time is over and many of you are struggling more with the New Year’s Resolutions than care about guys in red jumpers but I couldn’t resist and probably just can’t wait a whole next year with publishing this cutie bear thing. I really hope you don’t mind my bad timing and welcome him in your amigurumi family. – worsted weight yarn
– 3,5mm crochet hook
– stitch markers
– needle
– thread
– scissors
– yarn needle
– stuffing

sc – single crochet
mc – magic circle/ring
inc – increase (single crochet increase = two stitches in one stitch)
st(s) – stitch(es)
hdc – half double crochet

Head + Body:
In beige/light brown yarn
R1: 6 x sc in mc (6)
R2: inc x 6 (12)
R3: [sc, inc] x 6 (18)
R4: [sc, inc, sc] x 6 (24)
R5: [sc x 3, inc] x 6 (30)
R6-11: sc x 30 (30)
R12: [sc x 3, dec] x 6 (24)
R13: [sc, dec, sc] x 6 (18)
R14: [sc, dec] x 6 (12)
Stuff as you go
R15: [sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Change to red yarn
R16: [sc, inc, sc] x 6 (24)
R17: [sc x 3, inc] x 6 (30)
R18: sc x 30 (30)
Change to white yarn
R19: sc x 30 (30)
Change to red yarn
R20: sc x 30 (30)
Change to white yarn

Stuff firmly.
Now you’ll be shaping legs, dividing body in two parts (two legs; both consist of 15 sts but with first leg you will form a circle).
Stuff as you go.
R1-3: sc x 15 (15)
R4: dec x 3, sc x 9 (12)
R5: dec x 6 (6)
Fasten off
Now to make second leg attach yarn in any st and sc x 15, repeat rounds 1-5, fasten off.

R4-7: sc x 6 (6)
Fasten off, stuff only in the half

ch 22, turn, hdc in 2nd st from hook, hdc x 20, fasten off.

1. Sew the arms on. Place them in the neck area so it will be easier to cover the seam with collar.
2. Embroider the nose on a snout.
3. Sew a snout and the ears on.
4. Sew a collar on.
5. Embroider the eyes.
