Steve the Axolotl free amigurumi pattern

I don’t know why but I’ve forgot to publish this pattern last year… It’s been all written down, I’ve made a couple photos of it, even published it to Ravelry as a freebie… but still forgot to hit the publish button here on blog. Sometimes I wonder how absent-minded I can be.

Anyway, since I’ve managed to discover the missing puzzle, I’m leaving it here for you. Hope you’ll like this little sweetheart.

Supplies:
– DK weight yarn
– 3mm crochet hook
– 6mm safety eyes
– embroidery needle
– embroidery thread
– scissors
– yarn needle
– stuffing

Abbreviations:
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
mc – magic circle/ring
inc – increase (single crochet increase = two stitches in one stitch)
dec – invisible decrease (single crochet decrease = two stitches together)
st(s) – stitch(es)

Limbs (work in continuous rounds):
*make four*
R1: sc x 6 in mc (6)
R2-4: sc x 6 (6)
fasten off

Assembly:
1. Sew external gills on. Place them approximately below 3rd row and 5 sts away from eyes.
2. Sew on limbs in one line with external gills, first pair 3 rows below neck line, second pair 3 rows below first pair.
3. Sew tail fin on. Place them in one line with external gills and limbs, approximately 12 rows from bottom.
4. Embroider little blushes under the eyes.
